The final of the Winter League Knockout saw the top two seeds, Moorgate A and Barnsley A put on a magnificent display of doubles tennis, which as with last week's Plate Final, was only settled on count back.

After a straight sets win for the Moorgate men, the ladies match was heading for a similar result, in favour of Barnsley, until a great comeback from the Moorgate ladies took the match to a championship tie break, which was won by Barnsley,

One win for each club, in the Mixed Doubles left the match tied at 2-2, but Moorgate took the win, on sets count back.

The Moorgate team had an average age of just under 17 and with the Barnsley team not being much older, it bodes well for the future battles between these great rivals.
